Item 00148 – NS Bread Plate – Blood and Soil Motif
A plate in oak with Blut und Boden (Blood and Soil) type carved wheat and sword central motif. A very nice example that shows its age but is still in a great displayable condition. Most Third Reich plates are carved in a lime wood but this is particularly nice as its made on one piece of oak and shows it original shellac. A well carved wheat with sword design, a sword suggesting war time period.
The plate has some warping to it but no cracks or splits, great condition. Size 285mm in diameter.
