A nicely carved German WWII period oak plate for the birth of a child with a central life rune (Lebensrune) design dated 1941. Marker marked, a known maker of SS plates, I have seen a very similar design from this maker with SS runes in the centre instead of the lebensrune.
NS or SS related? It could be either but without tracing the name back to the parents one would not know as the Life rune would be most suitable for the general NS or more specifically an SS family. I’ve only taken a quick look but I did find one Weigert in the SS Officers lists.
Below, part of a document certificate for the naming of a child with Life rune incorporated in the design.
